When will it end: Day 16 of Garbage Strike

So it's day 16 and it doesn't seem like they are making any progress with this garbage strike. Our city is getting smellier and smellier everyday. I refuse to go downtown because of the state it is in right now. Just leaving my house to go outside to get some fresh air and knowing I'm going to be inhaling the smell of garbage disgusts me. We've just recently beat our record with 16 straight days of this strike since back in 2002, when I heard that on the news I was thinking in my head this news reporter can't be serious, she was saying it like it was something to glorify and be proud of. Now I'm hearing that our great Mayor is telling us to put our garbage on sidewalks so that civic workers will be forced to go back to work, how bout giving them what they want so stuff like this won't happen. The fact that I'm hearing civic workers aren't even complaining about pay makes this situation even worse. I just heard that Centerville has been closed by the city and that Caribana might be a no go this summer. If they cancel Caribana I hope the city will be prepared for a mini Watts type riot (search L.A. riots if you don't know what I'm talking about). David Miller better think twice about canceling Caribana, he better think about how much money the city will lose from tourists that weekend, I doubt he realizes the bad reputation that Toronto is getting at the moment. A friend had told me yesterday that American's are being told not to come to our city because of this garbage strike. This strike is supposedly going to last til September, I would hate to see how this city is going to look in 2 months.

Both these videos are very touching and had everyone in attendance in tears. It's honestly crazy how one man had such a drastic effect on millions maybe even billions of people across the globe. I said it before and I'll say it again; there will never be any entertainer or musician that will ever even come close to duplicating what Michael achieved throughout his career and life. This man was truly special; he was blessed with a special calling from above, equipped with an abundance of gifts and talents like no other to bring the world together in a very unique way.

I know i'm a couple days late but...it was reported that Married man, former Baltimore Raven Quarterback Steve McNair was found dead in his condo on July 4th. Reports also say that Sahel Kazemi, a girl he was dating was also found dead in the condo. He suffered 2 gunshot wounds to the chest and 2 to the head. Sahel suffered 1 gunshot wound to the side of her head with the pistol found used to kill both of them under her body.

Now lets do a little Special Investigating but let's not beat around the bush and cut straight to the chase. I don't want to jump to conclusions but it seems to me that this girl that he was dating could of either killed him than herself? Or maybe Steve's wife found out he was messing around with this girl and she killed them both? There's also a possibility (but i highly doubt it) that Steve was involved in something and a someone killed him and the girl he was dating?

At the end of the day
we need to stay faithful to our woman or else...

Michael Jackson was born August 29, 1958, born in Gary, Indiana and was the 7th child in a family of 9. He began his musical career at the age of 5 as the lead singer of the Jackson Five; a group created by Michael’s father, Joseph Jackson. The Jackson Five was eventually signed by Berry Gordy in 1968 to the legendary Motown Records. At the age of 11 Michael and the Jackson Five dropped their first single, “I Want You Back,” which in January of 1970 hit number 1 on the Billboard hot 100 chart. “I’ll Be There,” “The Love You Save,” and the historic track “ABC” quickly followed and sequentially topped the charts.

At the very young age of 13 Mike began writing history by launching his solo career but in addition to his work with the Jackson Five. In 1975 due to the Jackson’s wanting more control over their recordings relations with Motown Records eventually broke down which lead to the Jackson’s signing a record deal with Epic Records. With the help of a producer named Quincy Jones in 1979 Mike’s solo album “Off The Wall” began Mike’s super successful and truly extraordinary career.

In 1982 Michael released the best-selling album of all time, “Thriller,” which was followed by “Bad” in 1987, “Dangerous” in 1991, “HIStory” in 1995, and “Invincible” in 2001. We should all have some sort of knowledge about how successful his albums truly were but if not this stat should help; over 750 million albums sold worldwide. Throughout his career Michael complimented his successful albums by creating ground changing and influential music videos such as “Billie Jean,” Beat It,” “Black or White,” “Scream” and the unforgettable, “Thriller.”

Mike’s live performances were also globally renowned; filled with flashy outfits, raw emotion, and distinctively original dance moves which have influenced all genres of dance to this very day. In 1983 at Motown’s 25th Anniversary Mike literally stole the show by performing “Billie Jean” and the “Moonwalk” for the very first time. He was known for selling out stadiums around the globe and rocking crowds like no other. I personally remember when I was younger that every time I saw media coverage of Michael’s concert’s they would always show thousands of fans crying and fighting through the thickest of crowds just to see a glimpse of the King in person. No matter the country or city Mike was touring the fans always reacted to him the same.
In 1984 Time Magazine portrayed Mike “the hottest single phenomenon since Elvis Presley” and in 1990 he was declared the most globally popular artist in the business. He was globally crowned the King, recognized by all. Mostly due to becoming a global icon and his unique personal qualities Michael’s life was highly publicized which engrained him as a part of the pop culture. Michael’s work has influenced all genres of music and all sorts of artist, way too much for me to even begin to mention. He was adored by millions, no sorry billions and reached an amount of success that will more than likely never be reached again.

He should be remembered for as an artist who delivered unique music, technical dance moves, and extraordinary performances worldwide, not for the controversy that at times engulfed him. He is a hero to many; his ability to move crowds and touch the world through his music should never be forgotten.

PS. He was set to go back out on tour in London and I guarantee it was sold out... and he’d still kill it...

Now we can all say “I remember where I was when I found out Michael died.”

MTV Bruno and Eminem Stunt Planned?... Whack!

During the recent MTV Movie Awards, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (also known as Borat and Bruno) fell from the sky and landed upside down nuts first on Eminem’s face. The act created a huge hype all over the media. Everyone believed that it was real mostly due to how Eminem stormed out during the ceremony. Eminem was recently interviewed and was asked a few questions about the act:

Can you clear up the Bruno stunt at the MTV Awards? Was it staged or planned?
Eminem: Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards. I’m a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag.

If it wasn’t planned the way you agreed to, do you hold MTV or Sacha responsible and will you take any kind of action?
Eminem: I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going “nuts” so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.
After you left the ceremony, where did you go?
Eminem: After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours. Especially after I saw it on air.

Ps. I told everyone that it was planned, I told yall.
Eminem dropped even lower on my list after this stunt; very talented rapper but a true weirdo...

Why the hell would you PLAN to put another mans NUTS in your FACE on national televison if you're supposedly not GAY?

Forbes Magazine has recently annouced their list for the world's most powerful celebrities and for the first time in a long time Oprah Winfrey is not at the top of the list, she has been dethroned.

Due to pulling a cool 27 million in 2008 and building some serious hype from roles in blockbusters like "Kung Fu Panda," "Wanted," and soon to be released "Salt" the list leader is no another but Brad Pitt's wifey, Angelina Jolie. Her face has been all over the media for years and she has been the definition of "sexy" ever since she hit the public. Forbes Magazine has recognized her success and status by rewarding her the most powerful celebrity in the world.
