Mickey Rourke As "Whiplash" (Iron Man 2)

Not sure how much everyone out there knows about Ironman 2 or my good friend Mickey Rourke (lol), but it's confirmed that Tony Stark’s nemesis in the sequel will be none other than Whiplash. Whiplash is one of Ironman’s original foes and keeping with the theme of this post, here is some info you might find interesting concerning Mickey Rourke’s latest character.

Whiplash first appeared in Marvel comics in 1968 and was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan.

His real name is Mark Scarlotti.

Scarlotti, like Tony Stark, is a genius level weapon developer.

Scarlotti worked for the crime organization named Maggia.

While working for Maggia, Scarlotti took an assignment to go undercover and work for Stark Industries to steal intelligence and eventually take down Tony Stark.

During his time as a weapons developer, Scarlotti developed duo cybernetically controlled titanium whips that he uses to deflect bullets, smash his opponents and vault his body over obstacles.

Once the whips were developed, Scarlotti became Whiplash and attacked Tony Stark.

Whiplash is defeated at the hands of Ironman and his body is returned to Maggia.

Whiplash, embarrassed, is kicked out of Maggia and changes his name to Backlash.

Backlash blames Tony Stark and Ironman for his demise and vowed revenge.

Iron Man 2 is set to be released on April 30th 2010 and will be one of a series of super hero films (including Thor and Captain America) that will eventually set up the Avengers movie which will be released in 2011.

Megan Fox's New Flick

Jennifer's Body

Personally I think this movie looks like trash, I don't think they should mix comedy and horror in one film. That combinations of genres rarly ever works out to be successful...
The highlight of this one might just be Megan Fox but to be honest she ain't looking that hot in this one...
but what do yall think?

The Corporation

This past week saw us as Canadians celebrate yet another Canada Day in this great country we are all privileged to be living in. In recent years a considerable amount of that prosperity can be attributed to our leadership's foresight in embracing and incorporating the many aspects of the free-market capitalism ideal in our everyday lives. Although there are many viewpoints pointing to the shortfalls of capitalism, a lot can also be said in its defense. The prominence of private corporations in capitalistic societies make them an easy target for harsh criticism, in fact one of the most highly regarded documentaries against the corporate culture also happens to be one of my favourite. Despite the fact the documentary The Corporation sits on the complete other side of the spectrum I agree with, I still believe it is a very well thought out and powerful documentary. The individuals who are responsible for this documentary who coincidentally are Canadian very cleverly relate a number of corporation characteristics to that of a psychotic patient, the end diagnosis is pretty predictable. That being said there are a lot of more positive things that can be said about the power that free-market capitalism gives corporations that this documentary does not really focus on, in the near future I will share some other material that provides different arguments and allow you to make your own choice. In any event I highly recommend this documentary for all those who are interested. Click continue reading to stream the full-length documentary.

Say it ain't so...

I'm sure you all have seen this "trailer" all over the web already and I'm glad this isn't really being made! This would have been a bad smear this late in Jamie's career... but don't get me wrong I'm not a corny comedy hater. Movies like Booty Call still have a place in this world for sure! And I actually loved that movie as a whole... the saran-wrap scene is a staple in my movie memory bank forever!

With the trailer actually being a joke... it actually is funny.

Tim Burtons "Wonderland"

New images from Tim Burtons "Alice in Wonderland" released by USA Today:

The concept art for the new Alice in Wonderland is completely bananas; filled with vibrant colors and detailed imagery, these pictures add a true sence of strange. Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland which will be in 3d, is set to hit theatres March 5, 2010. The filim will be featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. co-starring Michael Sheen, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman. Tim Burtons edition is writtien to be almost like a sequel to the original story:

"The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember. This definitely looks like one to anticipate for the coming year... "
-Taken from "First look: What a weird 'Wonderland' Burton's made"by Susan Wloszczyna, USA TODAY.

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!
Sure he might be a bit worn out and stained from childhood sandboxes, but he's still saluting... 14years strong! It was way back in 1995 that Toy Story came out. It was then followed by Toy Story 2, where Woody got a girlfriend. AND NOW, believe it or not... Toy Story 3 is in the works. Disney's Pixar has done it again. This teaser trailer really brings back warm childhood memories, when life was simple and almost stress free. All you had to do was make sure you ate your veggies, brushed your teeth... and the rest was pretty much a breeze. Nowadays we're engulfed in our busy lives without a second to just stop and breathe.

I have never even got the chance to watch a 3-D movie in the movie theatres. I've watched some at Wonderland and Disney World, but never in a normal movie theatre. Anywho, here is the teaser trailer... I'm actually really pissed about that 2010 date:

Aint it cool......Terminator salvation
In the highly anticipated new installment of The Terminator film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators....In my honest opionon the movie was great for a first time terminator watcher...because i dont know the history of Terminator i do not think i can make a big enough judgment on this movie ...But for a first time viewer i thought it was well done and had all the right actors as well as directors to make this movie the best movie of 2009...it was jammed with action and had my eyes wired on the big screen....Hence, i've never watched Terminator in the past but i strongly believe that Salvation has my mind thinking to go back and capture what i've missed.....
